Saving Lives in North East Worcestershire
Originally starting from within Redditch, this has expanded to cover Bromsgrove and now covers towns and villages across North East Worcestershire including Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch. We are a registered charity and have a commitment to community first response for West Midlands Ambulance. Alongside this we help the communities of North East Worcestershire with defibrillators and CPR awareness training. We are well established group, and due to recruitment of Community First Responders within the area, we have been asked by the Ambulance Service to take more volunteers from a wider area and this allows us to better serve our communities sharing resources where we can.
We are all volunteers, and receive training from West Midlands Ambulance Service. We respond from our homes, to the local area but as the distances we respond from has expanded we can end up further afield.
We do not receive any funding from West Midlands Ambulance Service so are reliant on donations to function.
Where donations are generated within local communities we will keep them within the local community.
The charity started as Redditch and Bromsgrove First Responders, and while we will still happy to be known as Redditch and Bromsgrove First Responders within the areas, the wider charity is now North East Worcestershire First Responders
